Russian ships try air defense exercises in Kamchatka – Far East |
Moscow. 20 November. Interfax – Russian police officers received an air defense (AD) exercise at ship bases in Kamchatka, the Eastern Military District said on Sunday.
The crews of the ships worked out the actions of the crews of the Osa anti-aircraft missile systems, AK-630 artillery mounts and observation posts for repelling simulated airborne strikes,” the district’s press service said.
“The detachment worked out an algorithm for detecting air targets attacking from different courses, heights and distances.
On a special military case, paying special attention to the study, special search, tracking and prohibition of high-speed small-sized targets that imitate reconnaissance and attack unmanned aerial vehicles.
“The exercise was conducted in accordance with the fleet combat training plan,” the district said.
The press service of the Eastern Military District also reported on Sunday that an exercise was held in Vladivostok with combat swimmers of a detachment to combat underwater sabotage forces and assets from the Pacific Fleet’s water area guard ships.
An anti-sabotage boat of the “Rook” type was involved in the training, which, using technical means, carried out a study of the object of spacecraft of the Primorsky flotilla of diverse forces of the Pacific Fleet and searched for conditional underwater saboteurs in the Golden Horn Bay.
“Further, the anti-sabotage boat deployed coastal facilities and pier territory in the landing bases of surface ships and submarines in Ulysses Bay,” the Eastern Military District said.
