Charlene of Monaco took part in the festivities
This Saturday, Monaco was jubilant. For this national holiday, the whole main family has come together.
This year, a big surprise for Monegasques: Princess Charlene of Monaco appeared on the balcony of the Prince’s Palace for the National Day. Last year, she was absent during the celebrations as she was recovering from health problems, which had caused a number of media controversies.
Dressed in a long white coat, an ebony-colored manicure and wearing a black boater, she was the object of all eyes in the principality.
She was not the only one since Jacques also retained the respects. He wore the uniform of his rank and Gabriella was dressed in a coat the color of the principality and was wearing a hat the same color as her mother’s. Charlene of Monaco had notably published on the networks a photo of her children in party dress.
The Monegasques were therefore able to discover the outfits of the two children with their own eyes from noon when the royal family arrived on the balcony.
The day of celebration begins at 11.30 a.m. with a ceremony during which Prince Albert II awarded medals to the staff of the Prince’s Palace to salute their work.
An orchestra took over leaving the Palace to reach the square in front of it. A parade of carabinieri followed before the arrival of the Prince accompanied by his wife and children from schools in Monaco. They then took the direction of the balcony to greet the crowd.
They were not the only members of the royal family who were present since Charlotte Casiraghi and her children, for example, joined the party.
The entire royal family posed for the occasion.
The evening ended with a show of 200 luminous drones above the Prince’s Palace. In formation, they reproduced the face of Prince Albert II.
This was fixed on November 19 by Rainier III, father of Prince Albert II who kept this same date in memory of his father. The former reigning Monegasque had chosen it since it was the day of his enthronement, which departed from tradition. Usually, it was fixed on the day of the patron saint of the king.
