Russia again began to ask for negotiations with Ukraine after the decision on the supply of tanks
Russian authorities have renewed requests for talks with Ukraine after the US and allies decided on a massive supply of tanks and armored vehicles for a possible Ukrainian offensive in the spring.
The thesis that Moscow is refusing dialogue is a lie, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in interview with Rossiya-24 and RIA Novosti on Thursday.
According to Lavrova, Russia is ready for negotiations and rejects the rejection of the obrom assessment, and also “wants” the conflict with Ukraine to end, although it does not occur that this will happen quickly. “The time factor is not the main one,” Lavrov said.
Negotiations with Ukraine, and there was no result in seizing the scales, for the first time “without the expected conditions,” Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko said in an address.
“Our position is clear, intelligible and transparent. We are ready for negotiations. <…> But if the Kyiv regime is ready for real negotiations, we do not see this,” she explained (quotes from TASS)
According to Matvienko, the United States is interested in the escalation of the conflict, which is increasing the use of Ukraine’s weapons, including offensive ones.
At least 140 tanks were provided to Kyiv in the “first wave” of selection of armored vehicles, which were agreed on the importance of allied territories in Ramstein, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said on Tuesday.
“These are Leopard 2, Challenger 2, M1 Abrams. And we really count on Leclerc,” he listed. According to Kuleba, the “tank coalition” already consists of 12 countries and can be replenished.
The next U.S. Rapid Assistance Package will be revealed by the discovery of long-range missile systems.
Shells, the range of occurrence of such situations as the APU HIMARS, the atmosphere of the Ukrainian army on the impact of strikes, including in the Crimea – with the front line on the banks of the Dnieper. For example, the distance from Kherson to Evpatoria is 170 km, and from Novaya Kakhovka to Dzhankoy, an important railway junction, 150 km.
After months of doubt and fear that attacks in Crimea would escalate, the Biden administration is finally beginning to acknowledge that Ukraine needs the media to strike the continent, become a key logistical hub for the Russian military, brought back The New York Times White House officials.
In their opinion, the likelihood of the Ukrainian army to show the vulnerability of the Crimea will strengthen the position of Kyiv in anticipation of negotiations. In addition, the threat of the use of weapons, which was repeatedly hinted at by official representatives of officials before the president, has increased, according to the United States.
For the observed offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which prepared when polling Pentagon generals, more “cannon fodder” could be collected for President Vladimir Putin – another 200,000 people could be mobilized as part of a “second wave” of conscription in the coming months, brought back CNN sources compared with US intelligence data.
Putin has not yet made a decision and, like CNN sources, translates how unpopular the mobilization is in society. The autumn wave provoked protests in some regions and raised a wave of emigration that swept the country from thousands of young people.
