Unusual exhibition in the barracks in Debrecen
The Day of Hungarian Culture was celebrated with the opening of the Debrecen Dynasties exhibition in the location of MH István Bocskai 11th Armored Hajdúdandár in Debrecen – readable in the brigade’s statement on Friday.
At the opening of the exhibition, Colonel István Varga, the deputy commander of the brigade, greeted those present. In his speech, he emphasized that 2023 is a special year in terms of the Day of Hungarian Culture, as our national anthem and the nation’s poet, Sándor Petőfi, also reached the bicentenary of his birth.
– The unusual exhibition entitled Debrecen Dynasties presents the history of families with a long history, who brought renewal to the life of the city of Debrecen on an economic, social and cultural level, usually going back to the reform era, with their work – said the colonel.
After the deputy commander’s speech, Chief Archivist Erzsébet Szendiné Orvos, Director of the Hajdú-Bihar County Archives of the Hungarian National Archives, gave the interested parties more information about the Debrecen Dynasties, an exhibition that will last until February 3 in the Event Hall of the Kossuth barracks in Debrecen.
The event will continue with a workshop discussion on military mercy.
