Apostolos Tsitsipas sent his own message ahead of the newly established United Cup, which will premiere next Thursday (29/12).
His father and coach Stefanou Tsitsipas appeared optimistic about the progress of the Greek team, writing in his post:
“Ladies and gentlemen,
It is with honor that I stand before you today to announce that the Greek team will represent our country in the United Cup 2022.
For those who may not be familiar with the United Cup, it is a prestigious international tennis tournament that brings together some of the best teams from around the world.
This year, we are excited to have the opportunity to compete against some of the top teams in the world and show the world what Team Greece is made of.
But we are not just fighting for ourselves. We fight for our country, for our families, and for everyone who has supported us on our journey. We are determined to make Greece proud and bring home the trophy.
I know that the road to victory is not easy, but I have full confidence in the ability and determination of our players. They have worked hard to get to this point and I have no doubt that they will give it their all in the match.
So let’s all come together and support our team participating in the United Cup 2022. Together, we can make history and bring our country the gold.”
