The Ministry of Education and Science of Russia awarded scholarships to students – representatives of the small peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East
The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation hosted a solemn ceremony of awarding the holders of nominal scholarships for the offensive of the small peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East. Congratulations to the first 10 scholarship holders were conveyed to the head of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science Valery Falkov.
“The cultural diversity of peoples is an invaluable asset of our country. Therefore, it is important not only the traditions and languages of most peoples, but also to conduct research in this regard. Today, the development of multiculturalism has paid much attention to the most diverse places. And in many cases, this is the initiative of Russian President Vladimir Putin to declare 2022 the Year of the Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Russia. The Ministry, for its part, established nominal scholarships for the development of the small peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East. Students make a significant contribution to the study, preservation and development of their own culture,” said Valery Falkov.
The minister thanked the guys for their work and indifferent attitude to the history and traditions of peoples, because a single and unique state, Russia, has developed from the uniqueness of languages and cultures.
In January of this year, the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, in order to popularize folk art and a collection of cultural traditions, ethnic and cultural diversity, and the cultural identity of all peoples, established 10 nominal scholarships for the manifestation of the small peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East. Encouragement is focused on students of subordinate universities for achieving significant success in learning the languages and cultures of these peoples. During the 2022/2023 academic year, scholarship holders receive an incentive of 10,000 per month.
This year, for the first time, the needs of students became scholarship holders:
– Arctic Institute of State Economy and Arts – Kundumen Androsov and Yulianna Zakharova;
– Buryat State University named after Dorzhi Banzarov – Beligma Bartaeva, Maya Cherepanova and Yana Chirkov;
– North-Eastern Federal University named after M. K. Ammosov – Ramil Gorokhov, Diana Martynova, Yulia Stepanova, Valentina Struchkova and Alexey Shamaev.
All scholarship holders this year are excellent students, winners of competitions and charity events, as well as active participants in scientific events dedicated to their native language and culture.
