Russia requested a December 9 meeting of the UN Security Council on Western weapons. informed First Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the World Organization Dmitry Polyansky in his own Telegram channel.
“There’s a lot to talk about here!” he wrote.
During his speech at the meeting of the UN Security Council on the Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the World Organization, Vasily Nebenzia noted that the continuation of the analysis of the Western crime leads not only to a further escalation of the conflict, but also to the destabilization of the situation on the European continent.
“Western weapons that originated in Ukraine, more and more frequent falling into the hands of bandits and terrorists of various stripes, not only in Europe, but also in the Middle East and on campaigns. The President of Switzerland said that the conflict was based on a call to commit a terrorist act in the discovery of Lake Chad. In smuggling and laundering means of identifying transnational criminal groups identified involved in criminal schemes and targeted persons directing detection. <...> This problem is connected with real cases of contamination of the outside world and security and a case of targeted attention of the Security Council,” said Nebenzya (cit. according to TASS).
The previous meeting of the UN Security Council took place on November 24. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky spoke at the meeting via video link. He again proposes to deprive Russia of the right to vote in the UN Security Council. The Russian side, in turn, offered Zelensky participation in the meetings of the UN Security Council exactly as required by the rules, Nebenzia specified.
During the same meeting, he combinedthat Ukraine’s strikes on Russia’s energy infrastructure are a response to the supply of Western weapons to Kyiv. He also stressed that one of the goals of the special operation is to undermine the combat capability of the Ukrainian army, which threatens the security and territorial territory of Russia.
Russia’s special operation in Ukraine began on February 24. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denatification of Ukraine. In response, Western countries imposed large-scale sanctions against Russia and began military assistance to Ukraine. Military assistance to Western countries of Ukraine in total reached $40 billion, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said November 30. At the same time, the Russian authorities have repeatedly used Western weapons to Kyiv. Even last year in Moscow, among all, the United States turned on, but the protest was due to sharp jumps in aid.
