Lamma: «Siena is a precious point. With Ancona it will be an open match»
CARRARA – Three days have passed since the away draw in Siena and the Carrara team takes the field again; this time he will do it at the Stadio dei Marmi (kick-off at 17:30) to face Ancona in a match valid for the 16th day of the Serie C championship, group B. Last season in Carrara the match ended 1 to 1, while in Ancona the hosts had the best for 2 goals to 0.
CARRARESE HERE – In a historically difficult and complicated field for anyone this season, Carrarese managed to snatch a precious point at the A. Franchi stadium in Siena. It’s true that the leader of the standings has moved away and is now 4 points away, but the performance produced by the Azzurri deserves high marks. Against an opponent who had an impervious defense (only 6 goals conceded) and an attack that scored, on average, one goal per game, being able to both contain and worry the black and whites throughout the 90 minutes represents an evolutionary step important, which certifies that the team coached by Mr. Dal Canto can remain among the top players in the group. Returning to the standings, the Apuans now occupy 6th place with 26 points thanks to 8 wins, 2 draws and 5 defeats with 19 goals scored and 15 conceded. In view of today’s match, barring changes, coach Dal Canto will field his eleven with a 3-5-2 formation and will always have to do without Pinto, Frey and Plescia, all out due to injury, D’Ambrosio due to disqualification, while the Pelagatti’s condition has yet to be assessed.
As happens in the midweek rounds, the assistant coach speaks in the pre-match press conference Julian Lamma. Here are his words:
On the Siena race: “A challenge to Franchi that leaves sensations and gives positive responses, since individual and collective personality was shown and both available and technically we were continuously inside the match demonstrating a growth path that continues positively with a precious point. The second consecutive clen sheet after Olbia is another factor that can add value from now on. In the past we missed some draws, while at the moment we are more masters of our destiny and capable of managing even delicate challenges”.
On the next opponent, Ancona: “A very good team that is one step away from us. Coach Colavitto’s boys went on to win in Cesena and it’s not by chance. The numbers of the Marche offensive production tell of the best attack in the group with a 4-3-3 that expresses speed and unpredictability, they rarely sided with the 3-4-3. A match that I expect to take place openly with identities on the pitch that will make the challenge anything but blocked”.
On close matches: “It’s an element that everyone has to face, complicating the preparation of the match a little to have a few hours before diving into a new match, but let’s think commitment for commitment because we risk not achieving anything if we look too far ahead. In any case, we demonstrate a good condition and a number of players such as to be able to face this situation as much as possible. In Siena someone took a breather and can be used from the start on Tuesday. D’ambrosio will miss due to disqualification, but there are solutions in all departments”.
HERE AGAIN – Ancona comes from a home draw and comeback against Torres and will want to trip another big player in the group. The Marches, in fact, ten days ago beat Cesena’s “Dino Manuzzi” 1-0. 4 defeats and I’m the best attack in the group with 25 goals scored thanks to the excellent form of Spagnoli (9 goals) and Di Massimo (4 goals). Coach Colavitto normally sends eleven players onto the pitch with a 4-3-3 formation, even if there is the possibility of seeing his team mirror their current rivals.
