MILAN

Confirmation and agreement for Ionut Radu (Inter Milan)

Sugar Mizzy November 29, 2022

As mentioned yesterday by Ignazio Guenardi, Ionut Radu is well mentioned on the side of Saint-Etienne. The doorman of Inter Milan would please ASSE.

Will AS Saint-Etienne completely change its workforce this winter? The hypothesis is gaining momentum since the last defeat against Rodez. Laurent Batlles confirmed after a summit meeting, half of the team could well be reshuffled.

Starting with the goalkeeper position. Etienne Green failed to convince at the start of the season. Two expulsions, risky reminders, body language that testifies to a palpable lack of serenity… The native of Colchester lost his place in the Saint-Etienne goals. End of the beautiful story for this pure product of the training center? Quite likely to see him leave the drill this winter as long as he still enjoys a small rating on the transfer market.

Ignazio Guenardi told us yesterday that the goalkeeper of the Romanian national team, Ionut Radu, had been offered to AS Saint-Etienne. As a reminder, it had already been proposed just one year ago before the Greens opted for the loan of Paul Bernardoni (SCO Angers).

Recruited by Inter Milan when he was still a teenager, Ionut Radu was announced as a real talent on the Italian side. He will never manage to impose himself in interist goals despite undeniable qualities. Without an opportunity for this very special position, he was successively loaned to Avellino, Genoa, Parma and more recently to Cremonese (18th in Serie A).

Problem, the Romanian goalkeeper injured his elbow and was overtaken by the very promising Marco Carnesecchi, great hope at the club. Having not played since October 9, 2022, he wants to break his loan at Cremonese and quickly find a new base. At the end of his contract with Inter in June 2024, the 25-year-old goalkeeper intends not to wait before finding himself without a club.

Regularly loaned, the Milanese club does not count on him. A situation that prompted his representatives to look for a way out.

His profile has thus been offered to several clubs in Italy and France. According to the journalist, Ionut Radut could bounce back for the umpteenth time in Italy. But like last winter, his profile would again have been offered to different clubs … including ASSE. In January 2022, it had already been offered in Nice, Bordeaux and Saint-Etienne.

The famous Italian journalist came to clarify this rumor which is becoming more and more credible. AS Saint-Etienne would be interested in the profile of Ionut Radu. The Saint-Etienne would be in competition with the Stade de Reims for this track.

Rather reassuring as the Reims are rarely wrong on the transfer market in recent years.

The experience and talent of the Romanian porter seems to be attractive in any case. @AlexScout, twitter account specializing in Romanian players, specifies that it is a player in “steel mind with the character of a leader. Sign of a deep malaise and / or a way of confining himself to his work, he has completely disappeared from the networks lately. Unfair fate for a huge worker. Still young for a goalkeeper (25 years old). It would be a luxury for ASSE. He had crazy stats at the start of the season with more than 7 saves per game (he is still at 5.1-71%).”

We can however wonder about the choice of the player. Will he want to join the red lantern of Ligue 2? While probably lowering his salary? Doubt is indeed present.

#Reims and #Saint Etienne are interested in #InterAndrei, the goalkeeper #Raduwho will leave #Cremonese in January. #transfers https://t.co/4toHwEwmVg
