Gradual resumption of traffic
Good news for travellers. The partial resumption of traffic between Narbonne and Toulouse is scheduled for this Tuesday, November 29 on “only one of the two tracks”, announces the SNCF. The number of trains will therefore be limited.
Train traffic was therefore adapted from Monday 28 November on the following routes: Agen-Toulouse, Auch-Toulouse, Latour de Carol-Toulouse, Mazamet-Toulouse, Pau-Toulouse and Rodez-Toulouse.
What happened ?
A major incident occurred in Carcassonne train station. A freight train ran off the tracks and severely damaged the track last Wednesday. A total of seven kilometers of track had to be inspected. Traffic discounts have been readjusted according to the degree of work.
Daily rail connections between Toulouse and Castelnaudary, which serve Lauragais and Sicoval, have been maintained. At the same time, buses have been set up to allow travelers to move around. Nevertheless, the railway company invites all travelers to postpone their journey, as far as possible. To follow the evolution of traffic, click here.
As a reminder, from this month of December, the operation “Train at 1 euro” begins in Occitania. The SNCF will have to act accordingly to restore traffic as the region’s long-awaited initiative is about to begin.
