An Amazon fighting a puma and a marble staircase. Welcome to the Klein Palace
Last Saturday I spent the afternoon in Brno, in places that lie in the very heart of this metropolis above Svratka. Still, I haven’t been in them yet. On Saturday, 100 years since the opening of the Jiří Mahen Library and 140 years since the birth of Jiří Mahen were celebrated, so it was a festive day in the KJM Central Library.

The Klein Palace is worth a visit. It also has a nice view of Freedom Square.

I chose the guided tour of the Klein Palace from the rich program. It belonged to the Klein business family, which owned, among other things, also an ironworks, which is why the emphasis was placed on decorative cast iron elements on the facade of the house. Visitors will also be amazed by the marble staircase or the statue of an Amazon fighting a puma. It is interesting that horses and carriages were originally stabled in the giant underground of the house.
After that, I visited the KJM Central Library and, in particular, the opening of photographs by one of the best photographers of today, Zbyňek Maděryč from Brno. But that’s another photo gallery.
