BRNO

Tuna for the tenth Ball as Brno was caught off Sri Lanka

Sugar Mizzy February 2, 2023

The monstrous opening was followed by the famous sopranos from London – IDA Girls. Talented London sopranos have also performed for Prince Edward at Windsor Castle and sold out shows at the Jersey Opera House and Tonbridge Castle. And now, thanks to Pleso, Brno has visited the Czech Republic for the first time.

The guests were also entertained by one of the most important Czech rock groups – Olympic. And the singers Tomáš Klus and Michal Hrůza also performed a great concert.

A tip for a trip not only for men: the unique collection of mini cars in Brno will amaze

The whole evening passed in a spirit of surprise, and the evening was enlivened, for example, by the original appearance of the waiters. “Several festive events that were before the pandemic have not returned. And we are grateful to be back. We started the evening really spectacularly, our own song was played, which we dedicated to us and the guests for the 10th ball,” comments one of the organizers, Tomáš Pakosta.

The ball menu, which has been under the baton of the Valoria Restaurant in Brno since the first year, was created over 3 months. The most expensive ingredients were black truffle, foie gras, aged beef, oysters, halibut or, for example, tuna. Tuna is caught by the event to order, weighs between 30 and 40 kilograms and its exact size is never known. It was caught in the Indian Ocean, around Sri Lanka.

The hit of this Ball, like Brno, was the specially prepared pork liver, and a thousand oysters were also eaten. From the sweet bar, she then collected body ice cream with the flavor of Pleso as Brno. It was created just for this evening. After the event, the organizers took the leftover food to the homeless people at the Salvation Army.

Famous personalities also enjoyed the unique ball atmosphere in Brno. For example, master etiquette fighter Ladislav Špaček, model and head of the Beauty of Help Foundation Taťána Kuchařová, MMA Jiří Procházka, actress Simona Lewandovská, model Nikol Švantnerová or, for example, presenter Gabriela Partyšová.

A ball like Brno traditionally helped. And that’s thanks to a charity auction. “In the charity auction this year, we managed to get 2,557,600 crowns for the foundations. The money will be divided between three foundations. One of them is the foundation of fighter Jiří Procházky, the BJP Foundation, which helps seriously ill children. We will also help the foundation fund Hvězdy pro život, which helps sick children, seniors and families. And the third foundation is the Beauty of Help Foundation, founded in 2008 by Taťána Kuchařová. Her foundation helps the elderly,” comments one of the organizers, Bedřich Snášel.

In previous years, the ball helped with the amount of 8,002,000 crowns. With the tenth year, it was possible to overcome the threshold of 10 million crowns for all parties.

Guests can already purchase tickets for next year. It will take place on the traditional date, namely the last Saturday in January – 27 January 2024.
