“We are there to intervene on interventions that we could consider as minor but which are not because they can degenerate and become major interventions. So we come here to complete this law enforcement system, ”explains Thomas Leonard, chief of the inter-municipal municipal police, on CNEWS.
Intervene quickly and recreate the link
The objective is to intervene quickly, but also to recreate the link with the population. In these rural areas, the weak police presence creates insecurity among the inhabitants. This service is therefore welcomed as a real relief by the latter.
“It’s very very good because it was really a lack to have a group of people you can count on on a quick call. In a few minutes, they are there to help you therefore, that reassures, welcomes a resident of a municipality covered by the device at the microphone of CNEWS.
An eighth municipality is due to set up the system next January. A project that could give ideas to other cities in France.
