Russia registers with the IAEA all records of the shelling of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant
Russia informs the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) of all notifications about the shelling of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. This was announced by the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova.
“From the very beginning of the UAF strikes at the station, we have been in close contact with the IAEA Secretariat. “After a series of meetings, as before, all observations took place, including photo and video materials confirming the consequences of artillery shells,” Zakharova said.
The diplomat drew attention to the fact that the Russian Foreign Ministry “is convinced that the chief of staff of the agency in such unprecedented cases is exposed to a responsible check.”
“As an authoritative and independent international body, it is necessary, finally, to get away from abstract views and the safety of shelling the Zaporizhzhya NPP without targeted communication and clearly and unambiguously identify those who achieve the attack,” Zakharova noted.
The representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also added that Russia demanded an increase in the amount of information on membership – the agency is about growth. Zakharova stressed that “the international community must know who is behind the attacks.”
Over the weekend, adviser to the general director of Rosenergoatom, Renat Karchaa, said that massive shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine had damaged the strict facilities of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. “At the moment, about 15 arrivals at the facility nuclear power plant have already been recorded. Any artillery shutdown of the atomic danger is a threat to nuclear safety, ”he said.
On the same day, the head of the IAEA, Rafael Mariano Grossi, immediately stops the shelling of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.
