Life at the end of the Czech Republic can only be envied. Also thanks to the architectural gem
The investor agreed with the architects that the wooden part will be modified into a living space open to the floor and bedroom. Adjacent to this is the entrance porch from the north and a stone annex with a bathroom from the south. The cellar also belongs to the log house.
Based on the project, a minimalist kitchen was placed in the restored stone part.
A company specializing in folk buildings used fir wood during the repair. It was hand-hewn on the outside, hand-scraped on the inside. The individual pieces of the structure were connected by wooden pegs and rods. Sheep fleece and natural oils were also used. Hand-split larch shingles served as roofing.

“The element of the outdoor passage is preserved with the help of full-surface glass fillings that connect the interior with the outdoor space. And also thanks to the stone paving, which is the same inside and outside. The passage then serves as a dining room and observatory,” said investor Daniela Hradilová.
According to her, the attic of the house is conceived as a place for perceiving wood and working with it, it is used for relaxation. It is connected to the ground floor by a beam staircase.

The house has a garden of 4,000 square meters. However, there is no fence, so it continues undisturbed with the surrounding meadows. “The garden is sown with Beskydy grass with wild flowers and planted with old varieties of fruit trees. We restored the old dug well near the house,” added Hradilová.
