After Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a partial mobilization on September 21, a new wave of arson of military registration and enlistment offices began in the country. Over the course of three days, there were several arson attempts among at least six local residents. A few more cases of arson detection in the buildings of city administrations.
“The animals are fine”
On the night of September 22, unknown people set fire to the building in which the military registration and enlistment office of the Lomonosovsky district of the Leningrad region is located. In the photo, which posted in a group of residents of Limononosov in VKontakte, a fire is visible in one of the windows of the building on the first floor.
This building on Ilikovsky Prospekt Lomonosov has two floors. In the first place is the military registration and enlistment office, and in the second place is the zoo with exotic animals, which was opened a year ago by the archpriest of the local church of St. Spyridon of Trimifuntsky Oleg Emelianenko.
More than 40 species of animals are found in zoos, including snakes, chameleons, crocodiles and monitor lizards. The zoo is well known among the animals.
“The animals are fine. The fire was on the first floor, not in our wing. The fire just didn’t reach us. There was smoke and smell in the zoo. Now they opened the window and ventilated the premises,” tell me later in the zoo group.
According to “Fontanki”, the room where the fire was discovered was not in use. In the military registration and enlistment office itself, the publication refused to comment on the situation. And the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations stated that this room does not belong to the military commissariat at all.

After Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, military registration and enlistment offices began to be set on fire in local regions. Most of these arsons were recorded in May of this year. After Putin announced the mobilization, the number of such cases went up again.
On the night of September 22, unknown oil producers set fire to the military enlistment office on Lenin Street in the city of Gai, Orenburg Region. According to the local portal “Gai.rf”the wall of the building, apparently, was doused with a flammable liquid and set on fire, but the fire did not spread and quickly went out.
In the photo published by the portal, traces of soot are hidden under the windows on the first floor on a two-story military registration and enlistment office. After the arson, the police cordoned off part of Lenin Street, where the military enlistment office is located, but on the same day the cordon was removed, and the military enlistment office started working as usual.
In the early morning of September 22, unidentified persons threw out a Molotov cocktail in the building of the military registration and enlistment office in the Trans-Baikal village of Kyra, but there was no fire, reports citing its own sources. “Chita.Ru”. According to one of the interlocutors of the publication, the mixture simply poured out of the bottle and poured some papers from the patient of the military registration and enlistment office, at the direction of another, window glass was not even used from the release.
According to the publication, information about the arson before the police, but the initiation of a criminal or administrative case on this fact, is unknown.
Another attempt to set fire to the military enlistment office took place in Nizhny Novgorod on Alyosha Peshkov Street. The fire spread over an area of one square meter, reported publication NN.Ru with reference to the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
As the newspaper writes, eyewitnesses noticed smoke in one of the premises of the military registration and enlistment office, and later felt that the dental office caught fire as a result of arson. It happened on the evening of September 21, that is, on the same day that Putin announced the mobilization.
On the night of September 22, an unknown person set fire to the entrance to one of the buildings of the city administration of Togliatti. As a result, the front door and the porch lining caught fire on an area of 10 square meters, writes “Volga News” with reference to the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
At the end of April, the Notebook edition wrotethat unknown people threw packages of red paint at the facade of the administration of Togliatti – at that moment a banner “Z – we do not leave our own” hung over the main entrance to the building in support of the “special operation” in Ukraine.
On Friday, September 23, according to reports from the Russian regions, arson resumed. Public “Khabarovsk now” informedthat unknown people threw a Molotov cocktail at the window of the military registration and enlistment office in the Industrial District of the city. As a result, according to him, two offices caught fire, no one returned. After the arrival, the traffic police officers were given a review of the order in the area of the military registration and enlistment offices for about two hours, in the mail in the post.
According to telegram channel Base, “Molotov cocktail” was also thrown into the building of the military registration and enlistment office in the city of Free Amur Region. The fire did not spread, and only minor traces of soot remained on the facade of the building, a statement in the post. But the local media do not report this meeting.
Two more arson attempts are reported by the SHOT telegram channel. According to him, an unknown man threw two Molotov cocktails at the beginning of the first meeting of President Kamyshin in the Volgograd region, but there was no fire. Also, according to the channel, in the Altai village of Tselinny on the night of September 23, the House of Culture caught fire, which houses the administration of the village council and the office of the Russian Post. As a result, according to data transfer, the office burned out completely.
It is not known what happened in Kostroma. In the photo that I published edition of News of Kostroma, it is clear that on the wall of the military registration and enlistment office they wrote: “Mobilize your anus, dog! Not your personal army!”
