Dane found dead in coffee
A 31-year-old Danish man is accused of having killed the 30-year-old Danish woman in a small French town in southern France. The man must have tried to get rid of like by having it carried away in a coffee.
The accused is the woman’s partner.
The case has been widely discussed in the Danish media in the last week, including by Denmark’s radio and Danish TV 2. The tragic incident first became known through the AFP news agency on Tuesday.
Shot and killed the day before the baby shower
According to French authorities, the 30-year-old woman was found shot to death in a refrigerator along with a dead dog.
Tips from friends
The accused was arrested last Sunday after local police received a tip to acquaintances of the man, who must have reacted to a strong smell when they were asked to take the coffee to a rubbish dump.
The 31-year-old was detained on Tuesday this week.
Brutally killed in his own home
The accused 31-year-old has not explained what happened, the prosecutor’s office told AFP.
It is not known how he responds to the charges.
Diaper shot
According to the French newspaper Nice-Matin, the arrest must have taken place after police monitored the 31-year-old man’s residence in the town of Mandelieu-la-Napoule, not far from the holiday paradise of Cannes.
AFP writes to have been told that the smell was due to a dead dog, but when the acquaintances finally got a friend, who is also a woman.

An autopsy on Sunday showed that the woman was shot in the head, according to the French prosecutor’s office.
– The victim has not been formally identified, but the autopsy indicates that it is the suspect’s wife, a spokesperson for the prosecution says, according to AFP.

The police also found several loaded weapons, cash and drugs at the man’s home.
The murder case has shaken France and Denmark after the body was found last weekend. The deceased woman’s family has also come out and confirmed the death in a post on Facebook.
Jyllands-Posten was confirmed on Thursday by the public prosecutor’s office in France that the men have been charged with the murder of the spouse, possession of weapons, ammunition and drugs, as well as gross mistreatment of animals resulting in death.
