This year, Creation Week will be celebrated between September 25 and October 2, and within the framework of the “72 hours without compromise” program, October 6-9. many charitable activities are carried out between The aim of both initiatives is to pay increased attention to the protection of the created world. In the spirit of these, we would like to point out the worrisome processes taking place in our own environment, that they are urgent signs of the need to discover personal responsibility for the protection of the created world – read the notice published on the website of the diocese.
“In the area of our diocese, we are surrounded by many wonderful phenomena, in which, in addition to beauty, we can also experience wounds”, they write in the announcement of the tender, adding that the goal is to make us realize through the images: how wonderful the created world is, where we live our everyday lives, all the while we also realize how close and deep the problem is caused by irresponsible human activity.
“The photos of the photo contest show the values of our own environment, so our goal is that the photos are made specifically from the area of our church, thereby highlighting the beauty of our home, as well as the wounds on them. It is important to use the pictures to draw attention to the fact that even though we have wounds, they can be healed and cry out for healing. This cry invites us to action, to active love. Let’s realize together how wonderful the place we live in and what role we can play in preserving it!” can be read in the invitation.
