Automobile plant “Moskvich” reduced work by the end of the year – Moscow |
8 September. Interfax-Russia.ru – The former Moscow Renault plant intends to start work by the end of 2022 under the name Moskvich, Vladimir Yefimov, deputy mayor of the city for economic policy and property and land relations, said.
“We plan to resume its (plant – IF) work by the end of the year, and so far everything is going smoothly for us,” Yefimov told reporters on Thursday on the sidelines of the Moscow Financial Forum.
The deputy mayor also said that in 2022 there is a decrease in sales by about 30% compared to the same period last year. This happened due to the suspension of the work of a number of automotive companies.
Stabilization and even revival of the Moscow power market is expected after new companies enter it – including China.
In mid-May, the Renault concern transferred its Moscow plant (CJSC Renault Russia, formerly Avtoframos) to the management of the Moscow government. After the transfer, the Moscow Automobile Plant was renamed into JSC “Moscow Automobile Plant” Moskvich “.
