May these days bear spiritual fruits for you, so that you may be joyful witnesses of the Gospel in your environments.
This is the wish that Pope Francis addresses to the Association of alumni of the Kollegium Kalksburg in Vienna, in these days on a pilgrimage to Rome and received in a brief audience in the Sala Clementina of the Apostolic Palace. In all, about seventy former students of the College of the Immaculate Virgin are members. Founded by the Jesuits in the nineteenth century, the school has over time been an important training center for all of Austria and today it is a cutting-edge institute that aims at the transmission of Christian values - according to the teachings of St. Ignatius of Loyola – promotes sport aims at a complete education and encourages international exchanges. Also include classes for primary and secondary education. (Listen to the report with the Pope’s voice)
The community experience of the pupils of the Kalksburg College
The Pope reminds the alumni of Kollegium Kalksburg of the sense of community experienced in the school and adds that that experience continues today in the meetings of their association. He therefore points out that the visit to the Italian capital is a way to consolidate it:
Your pilgrimage to the Eternal City offers you the opportunity to renew your bonds, in the common gaze towards Peter and his Successor, who has a universal heart for the unity of the community of the Church.
Finally, before leaving, Francis blesses the members of the Austrian Association with a thought for their families as well.
