Air India, the non-stop Milan-Delhi flight took off

Taken off from the intercontinental airport Milan Malpensa the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner of Air IndiaIndia’s leading airline and member of Star Alliance, marking the resumption of non-stop flights between Milan and Delhi.

The maiden flight AI138 departed yesterday at 8pm (local time) with 249 passengers on board after a celebratory event at Terminal 1 and landed at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport this morning at 8am (local time). Air India operates the connection four times a week: Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
The new generation Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner is configured with 18 seats in Business Class and 238 in Economy Class, and the Malpensa-Delhi scrapped service increases non-stop connectivity between Europe and India for business travelers tourism and business.

Inauguration of Air India's Malensa - Delhi flight

The service allows Air India customers from Italy and the rest of Europe to connect without problems – with transfers from the same terminal to Terminal 3 of Delhi airport – to other cities such as Jodhpur, Varanasi, Mumbai, Kochi , Goa, Chennai and Bangalore. Travelers can also avail Air India’s convenient connections to other countries in South Asia, Southeast Asia and Australia, such as Kathmandu, Colombo, Bangkok, Singapore, Sydney and Melbourne. Tourists planning to visit the Indian subcontinent and continue on to destinations in South Asia, Southeast Asia and even Australia will be able to benefit from this non-stop service between Milan and Delhi.
