Ryanair signs a multi-year agreement with Bologna Airport and presents the 2023 summer schedule
Ryanair today presented its operative for the summer 2023 from and for theBologna Marconi Airportwhich includes the new route to Toulouse, operating with three weekly flights, as well as increased frequencies on its most popular routes to Athens, Barcelona, Cagliari, Palermo, Palma de Mallorca, Prague and Vienna.
“This further growth in Bologna has been driven by the airport’s long-term commitment to keeping airport charges competitive, with a positive impact on investment in the region.” The company explains in a statement
For summer 2023 Ryanair will base 11 aircraft in Bologna and will operate 67 of them for a total of 770 weekly flights.
Ryanair CEO, Eddie Wilson, said: “Ryanair is delighted to offer an even wider choice to citizens and visitors of Bologna for summer 2023 with over 770 flights to 67 destinations, including our new route to Toulouse, as well as increased frequencies on over 20 other popular destinations such as Alicante, Cagliari, Corfu, Malta and many more. Ryanair will carry over 5 million guests to/from Bologna this year, supporting long-term growth and providing a much-needed boost to the local tourism economy, but also the entire Emilia-Romagna region, where Ryanair will continue to grow this estate . This long-term commitment to Bologna demonstrates the airport’s trust in Ryanair, which will continue to invest in the region to ensure further wealth and employment.”
The Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of Bologna Airport, Nazarene Ventola, said: “We are delighted to consolidate our long-term partnership with Ryanair, who supply the majority of our traffic base while supporting the connectivity of Bologna’s catchment area and the region’s economy.
