Fires in Greece: 51 fires in forest fairs in one day – Investigations…
Dozens of fires in Greece they were called to face the fire brigades during the last 24 hours.
Particularly, a total of 51 forest fires broke out in the last twenty-four hours in Greeceaccording to the Fire Department, while the local investigative offices, as well as the Divisions of the Directorate for Combating Arson Crimes (DAEE) are investigating the causes of their occurrence.
The biggest fire that the fire brigade was called to deal with was the one in an agricultural area in Pyrgiotika of Argolidawith the fire being defined according to the relevant announcement of the Fire Department.
It is worth noting that the intervention of the Fire Service was immediate, with ground and air forces to mobilize in the region Pyrgiotikaof the Municipality of Nafplio, in Argolisand they managed to delineate the fire that broke out in agricultural land.
We should emphasize that the fire came to burn near residential areas, while the “Perivoli Country Hotel & Retreat” hotel was also evacuated as a precaution.

Second fire in Lefkakia
A second, small fire broke out around 16:00 near Lefkakia, in a rural area, burning dry grasses. The fire brigade rushed to the scene, while a helicopter and the civilian protection of the Municipality of Nafplio joined the firefighting effort.
