26 of May. Interfax-Russia.ru – Russia to build new hydrocarbon supply chains; the change in routes may seem like a temporary acceleration, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Yuri Borisov said at the Industrial Policy in New Realities summit.
“Hydrocarbon exports are recovering. Leading Western countries are giving up resources. We have a lot of work to do to build new supply chains. There will be a drawdown, but there is a margin of safety, and we will get out,” Borisov said.
He noted that the world cannot do without Russian energy resources, but they still have to be “correctly brought” to the emergence of new consumers.
According to Borisov, Russia has proved that it is a permanent supplier of hydrocarbons to world markets. “Today we have already seen that our energy resources are vital for Western countries,” the vice-premier noted.
Borisov added that Russia currently does not depend on exclusivity from commodity exports, as the country has diversified its export portfolio in recent years.
“According to the results of 2021, non-energy exports of a large amount of 190 billion rubles are about 40% of the total exports of all Russian goods. type of export, in particular, hydrocarbons,” Borisov said.
