“Management company may be chosen in line with Australia’s forecast of more than half of the owners”
On May 25, 2022, the State Duma eventually adopted the version of meeting No. 1038564-7 “On Amendments to the Housing Code of the Federation”.
Comment by a member of the capture for the construction and housing and communal services of the State Duma Sergei Kolunov:
– The draft law, adopted today for consideration by the State Duma in the third reading, involves two innovations.
First: as before, the competence of the general meeting of owners of premises in an apartment building has its own decision on the choice of a managing organization. But today, with the exception of a certain situation, in which the management group chooses only a quarter of private residential premises in the MKD. Thanks to the adopted action, the freedom to choose a management company will increase, as well as guarantees that the selected manager will suit the majority of owners: the management company will be elected in the calculation if more than 50% of the owners of premises in the MKD vote for it.
The second innovation concerns targeted assistance to citizens in residential premises and utilities. Now it can be established that compensation to citizens for the cost of housing and utilities will be transferred to service providers. For example, with the adoption of amendments, you can immediately transfer to the account for the distribution of utilities.
