The corresponding document was signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and published on the official information portal. Traffic through road, rail, pedestrian and other pass limits was limited in March 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. According to the new order, restrictive measures are no longer applied to Russians traveling to Georgia, the DPR and the LPR.
Prior to that, to cross the land border of Russia with Georgia required the certainty that the goal is education, work, treatment or other good reasons.
On March 30, Russia removed the limit on the entry of citizens of Kazakhstan into the country and on the exit of Russians to Kazakhstan through the land section of the Russian-Kazakh border. Since April 11, restrictions on crossing the border with Russia at land points and air traffic have been lifted in Kazakhstan. On April 18, passenger trains between the countries resumed running.
Since April 9, Russia has lifted restrictions on the exit of Russians to China through land transportation and the entry of foreign citizens from China into the country. The decision was made by the operational headquarters to combat the spread of violence.
In early April, Russia resumed flights with 52 countries. The list includes Argentina, Afghanistan, Algeria, India, China, Kuwait, Peru, Serbia, Syria, Thailand, Ethiopia, South Africa and other states.
