“The announcement of the court verdict on May 17 at 11:00 am,” Interfax told the court on Friday.
As reported, during the debate of the parties, the state prosecution requested 17 years in prison for Zakharchenko with serving copies in a strict regime correctional colony.
Zakharchenko also demands a fine of 500 million rubles.

According to the accusatory agreement announced to the court, Zakharchenko “for general patronage in the service” from 2007 to 2016 received a particularly large bribe in the amount of more than 1.4 billion rubles. from a group of businessmen: Markelov, as well as Boris Usherovich, Ivan Stankevich and Dmitry Motorin, who are currently on the wanted list and insulted in Russia in absentia.

In addition, defending the prosecution, Zakharchenko “for actions in favor of the bribe-giver” received 844 thousand rubles from businessman Avsholum Yunaev in the form of payment for accommodation services in the hotel complexes “Grand Hotel Polyana” and “Polyana 1389 Hotel and SPA” in the Krasnodar Territory.
In 2019, Zakharchenko was sentenced to 12 and a half years in a strict regime colony with a fine of 118 million rubles and deprivation of the rank of colonel for obstruction of justice (part 3 of article 294 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and receiving a bribe in the form of a discount card, with which he saved 3 million rubles in the La Maree network. At the same time, the former employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs justifies the right to rehabilitation for the next episode of bribery imputed to him – about accidentally receiving $ 800 thousand.
