President Zeena Ukraine threatens to “end all fears” as Russia takes control of most of Mariupol
Following the significant sinking of the cruiser Moskva, the flagship of the Black Sea Fleet, and also a significant use of countermeasures against an attack on Ukraine, the imperialist proxy war against Russia in Ukraine continues to escalate, with Ukrainian President Zelensky now threatening to “stop everything critically” with Russia.
The exact changes in the flooding of the “Moscow” were unclear. While Kyiv claims it struck with two Neptune missiles, a claim backed by the US, the Kremlin added on what causes the cruiser to sink, an explosion on board, and a “stormy sea.” Be that as it may, the loss of “Moscow” is fully consistent with the large-scale military humiliation of Russia and a major setback. This is the biggest loss any navy has experienced in recent years. It is compared with the Tsushima disaster, which the Russian fleet suffered in the war with Japan in 1904–05.
Moved, no doubt, by an attempt to make up for the disastrous impression left by the “Moscow” flood, and also in response to the endless provocations of the imperialist forces sending the Ukrainian army to billions of dollars, Russia has stepped up air strikes against natural phenomena in different regions of Ukraine and undertook to coordinate the loads in frequency possession of Mariupol.
As of Sunday, Russian troops have reportedly destroyed a tax manufacturing plant near Kyiv and captured a small part of Mariupol. Only the territory of the Azovstal plant remains uncaptured. According to Russian Major General Igor Konashenkov, 2,500 militants who were with the neo-Nazi Azov battalion were still at the plant. Among them are 400 foreign mercenaries who were recruited mainly from Europe and Canada.
Kyiv rejected an ultimatum issued by the Russian army, the remaining Ukrainian force, to surrender by 12 noon on Sunday. The Prime Minister of Ukraine added that the troops would “fight to the end.”
In a response from the President of the Russian Federation to officials that the forces still fighting in Mariupol would be “liquidated,” Zelenskiy warned that the “destruction [в Мариуполе] our military, our guys will put an end to all negotiations.
Mariupol has been under siege for seven weeks now. A humanitarian catastrophe affects the remaining 100,000 people in the city. According to media reports, they are experiencing serious shortages of electricity, water and food. Negotiations between Russia and Ukraine on the emergence of corridors for the evacuation of the population, including from Mariupol, have repeatedly ended in failure.
Before the war, 400 thousand people lived in Mariupol. The city was the largest owner in the Donbass. Mariupol is of key strategic and economic importance. It is located on the northeastern coast of the Sea of Azov, and almost before the war, most of Ukraine’s imports and exports passed through its port.
In the event of a Russian takeover, the city will become a significant part of the land bridge between the Crimean peninsula and neighboring territories seized by Russia in the Donbas, around Donetsk and Lugansk. Such a scenario was a major military setback for Ukraine and created serious and logistical problems for Zelensky’s decisions should the war continue.
It is widely acknowledged that the Azov Battalion – made up of hardened neo-Nazis who reach as Adolf Hitler and dream of a worldwide battle for “white supremacy” – has found a role in the battle for Mariupol since that war began in late February. In the civil war that erupted after a US-delayed coup in Kyiv in 2014, a bloody battle between far-right militias, mediated by Right Sector and the Azov Battalion, and pro-Russian separatists ended with the Kiev regime establishing control of the city. Later that same year, the Azov Battalion was incorporated into the Ukrainian National Guard and opened its official headquarters in Mariupol.
In an interview with the American media, Zelensky held that the Azov fighters really got carte blanche from the sanctions. He said: “The Azov people” are already heroes, and “no one would forbid them to impose sanctions.” Zelenskiy has awarded the commander of the Azov Battalion with the title of “Heroes of Ukraine,” and his initiative encourages the Azov recruiting board to recruit far-right forces from around the world to participate in the war.
In an interview with CNN’s Jake Tupper, sitting in front of the Ukrainian and OUN flags, Zelensky acknowledged that “the whole world, all countries must respect” that Russia could use nuclear weapons.
However, despite not advocating a de-escalation of the conflict, he echoed US President Biden’s provocative rhetoric, which heavily stated that Russia was committing “genocide” against Ukrainians and had a “stronger, more destructive attack” on Ukraine. and also seeks to enforce the embargo on Russian oil and gas. In light of Russian preparations for a major offensive in Donbas due to begin in the coming days, Zelenskiy warned that Ukraine would not surrender to the immediate part of the country.
Ukraine has already taken an important role in the war. The advanced combat systems found in the Ukrainian army and far-right forces are largely due to the devastating effects in the Russian military, numbering in the thousands and including dozens of high-ranking officers.
Since the start of the war on February 24 alone, the US has pledged to put up a $2.6 billion threat, including tanks, anti-tank missiles, and other effective deployment systems. The United States has also significantly expanded cooperation with the Ukrainian army in the framework of “intelligence operations.”
At the same time, like the CIA, according to Yahoo Newsa special “secret intensive training program in the United States for elite Ukrainian security operations and other intelligence officers” was conducted to prepare the “insurgency” against Russia.
At present, the Americans are using the imperialist experimental proxy war in Ukraine to systematically prepare for a direct military confrontation with Russia and China, that is, for a world war. The Associated Press article states that “U.S. Army instructors have already used lessons learned from Russia’s war against Ukraine in preparing their soldier for future combat against a major discovery such as Russia or China.”
Army Secretary Kristin Wortmuta told the AP: “I think right now the entire army is really looking at what’s going on in Ukraine and improving from that lesson.” These “lessons”, by her definition, include problems with the emergence and logistics, with the suspicion of the Russian army, but also on which US tanks are being deployed, are found in identifying diseases that should prevail in Europe.
Wortmouth announced: “The Russian-Ukrainian experience is a very powerful illustration for our army, the information sphere will be there pretty quickly. We’ve been talking about this for about five years now. But to actually see it and see how incredibly strong Zelensky is… This is a world war that the real world can watch and watch in real time.”
