Prague received rents for people who accommodated refugees in city flats
People in city apartments will be able to draw a discount on rent of up to 4,000 crowns. In addition, they are entitled to a contribution of 3,000 crowns per person who was approved by the government last week. A maximum of 12,000 crowns can be drawn per household.
The city’s measures to provide discounts should apply for the duration of the government regulation. People will have to prove that they receive a contribution from the government to help Ukrainians and should also increase the number of people living in the apartment.
The condition for entitlement to a discount on rent is that the tenant with a valid contract does not owe the rent and does not have a court case with the city.
As the councilor for the area of Adam Zábranský (Pirates) reminded, the resulting support for the accommodated refugee will reach the amount of 4000 crowns per month, which, according to experts, is within the possibilities of the optimal amount of support.
In line with the conclusions of the expert reports @paq_research we approved discounts on rent for tenants of city flats in the amount of CZK 1,000 per refugee accommodated so that the total support (together with the solidarity contribution approved by the government) reaches CZK 4,000 per accommodated person. 👍
