The US is on the sanctions lists of another 120 companies from Russia and Belarus
It is expected that another 120 companies from Russia and Belarus are expected to be cut off from high technologies in the sanctions lists.
This was announced by the director of public relations of the White House Kate Bedingfield.
“In the coming days, the Ministry of Commerce will take exceptional actions to worsen the positions of the Russian defense, space and maritime sectors, listing another 120 organizations from Russia and Belarus on the sanctions list,” she said.
“As a result, the average Russian and Belarusian structures added to the list will exceed 200 from the Invasion,” she added.
According to Bedingfield, inclusion on this list means that this organization “is no longer able to obtain US high technology without a license, in most cases, if not in all cases, will be denied.”
Bedingfield recalled that on Thursday the Australian government “announced increased participation in the meetings of the Russian Federation”, which includes a regular selection of military forces invading Ukraine.
“We will not allow them to bring in Western technology and we will discuss our tough sanctions,” she said. “We are expanding the authority to decide on the expanded Russian sector, discussions for Putin, including aerospace, maritime and electronics industries.”
According to the White House, compared with last year, US exports to Russia of goods subject to new export controls were recorded at 99% in value terms.
“The strength of these restrictions will increase over time as Russia reduces remaining stocks, such as spare parts for some aircraft and tanks,” Bedingfield said.
US Secretary Anthony Blinken announced on Thursday that the US is electing a meeting of 21 more legal entities and 13 individuals in order to block financial, creating the Kremlin to bypass meetings scheduled earlier.
The Secretary of State’s statement contains information that the legal entities and individuals included in the list are related to the military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation, which “directly supports Putin’s military machine” in his “shameless war against the citizens of Ukraine.”
As Radio Liberty explains, the new detections included Vector Scientific Research Institute, JSC Mikron, Sertal, Sernia Engineering and other technology companies whose activities are closely related to military developments.
Anthony Blinken explained that the new sanctions prohibit Russia’s access to the international financial system and the development of Western technologies.
“Putin’s war machine will remain the target of our gatherings in every aspect and until this senseless war started at Putin’s choice is consumed. The Russian Federation not only continues its attacks to violate the sovereignty of Ukraine, but also escalates the destruction of certain areas, schools, hospitals, residential areas and shelters where the world population is hiding from Russian bombing, ”located at the US Foreign Office.
He noted that three of those on the new sanctions list are those who have been convicted of “malicious cyber activity” and against whom the Ministry of Justice has opened criminal cases.
In addition, Blinken added, thanks to the action of the White House and the Treasury, these measures can be introduced against any individual or entity associated with the public aerospace, maritime or public sector of the economy and street in actions that violate the requirements.
