Brno traveler and documentary filmmaker Dušan Procházka is embarking on his second trip to Jordan on Friday to help set up an honorary consulate in the south of Aqaba. The former classmate of Brno Talal Nubani, who has the honorary position of foreign representative, has to live in this city.
According to a Brno traveler, the honorary consulate in the south of Jordan is missing. “One embassy operates in the local capital of Amman, which is very difficult to reach from the southern part of the country. On the one hand, it is only a distance and the environment, because the road leads through the desert and along the Dead Sea, and then also the city itself, which with its four million inhabitants is a busy city, “explains the traveler.

According to Brňan, the foreign representative must meet several conditions. “There are demands for smooth communication in Czech, a separate office with a separate entrance and a good knowledge of the local environment. In addition, the consul undertakes to provide advice and minor assistance to our tourists, as well as information to travel agencies and businesses. Of course, it will serve both to promote both our countries and to strengthen good relations, “says Brňan.
The traveler helps a former classmate from Jordan with the establishment of the local consulate. He believes it fits. “Talal is a serious engineer who has a very warm relationship with our country, has a wife in the Czech Republic, has lived in Brno for a long time and meets the conditions required by the work of a consul. In a letter, I recommended Talala to our embassy in Amman, and together we worked out a vision for a new honorary office in Aqaba, ”explains the adventurer.
The Jordanian as an honorary consul is not entitled to a monetary reward. “It is not a paid function, but an honorary function. Talal will finance all costs with the establishment and operation of the consulate, “adds Brňan.

The first tourists could visit the honorary consulate in Aqaba, Jordan, in the autumn of this year. “I’m going to Jordan on Friday to find out what stage it is and where it’s stuck. We are waiting for approval from the Czech and Jordanian embassies, “says the traveler.
Brno recommends a visit to Jordan. “The country offers a large number of natural beauties and historical monuments, and therefore is a great magnet for me. In my opinion, the biggest attraction is the rock town of Petra and the Wadi Rum desert. In the winter and spring, there is a pleasant climate in this nearby exotic with the possibility of swimming or exploring, “says the documentary filmmaker.
The traveler wants to bring Jordan as close as possible to the Czechs. “We expect a tourist boom there in the future. Now Talal and I are going to visit the local hotels and other attractions in a few days, which I could then promote with us, “adds the traveler.
