Minister of Health of Russia Mikhail Murashko in an interview with Russia-1 TV channel declared about the readiness of the country to provide assistance to needy refugees from the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics (LNR and DNR).
The head of the Ministry of Health said that Russia would provide preventive and curative assistance to refugees from the LPR and DPR.
“The healthcare system today is ready and needs medical assistance as a preventive measure, as well as in the most important therapeutic measures that are needed. We are ready to provide assistance to those in need, including preventive care,” Murashko said.

Earlier, Russian Deputy Defense Minister Nikolai Pankov called the number of arrivals from the DPR and LPR. According to him, 100,000 people have already arrived in the country, almost 30,000 of them are children.
The evacuation of residents of the LPR and DPR in Russia began on February 18 against the backdrop of an aggravation of the situation on the line of contact in the Donbass. The increase in concentration was accepted by the Rostov region – there on behalf of President Vladimir Putin to expand the group of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, headed by Acting Minister Alexander Chupriyan.
According to observations, refugees from the republics of Donbass are located in six regions. Among them are Volgograd, Penza, Voronezh, Kursk and other regions.
