The Minister of Transport, Sorin Grindeanu, announced on Friday, January 21, that the technical project for the A7 Buzău – Focșani highway was approved by the Technical Economic Council of CNAIR.
“Good news for an important sector of the A7 – Moldovan Highway! The Technical and Economic Council of CNAIR approved today the technical project for the Buzău – Focșani highway, which will have a length of over 82 km, Sorin Grindeanu wrote on Friday on her Facebook page.
According to the minister, CNAIR can start preparing the documentation for the auction of the execution contract.
The amount needed for the construction of the Buzău – Focșani highway will be provided by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.
The project includes the construction of a detour for Focșani Municipality, in the Eastern area, between DN 2 and DN 2D.
The highway route will cross Buzău and Vrancea counties and will transit 16 localities. It will have 41 bridges, passages and viaducts and 6 road junctions. It will also have two secure car parks, equipped with video surveillance systems, internet connection, lighting, utilities, with commercial spaces, car service and hotel.
There will also be 22 charging stations for electric cars and 205 hectares of forest curtains on the route.
The total value of the investment is 6,118,056,301.86 lei, excluding VAT. Of this amount, 5,263,440,710.80 lei for construction and assembly works in the regions, excluding VAT, according to CNAIR.
