/PHOTO/ Auction in Bucharest in support of Hospices of Hope Moldova: The purchased painting will be exhibited in a church
An exhibition of paintings by the collective of visual artists from the Republic of Moldova InSpirArt took place, between January 17 and 29, at the Contemporary Art and Design Gallery GALATECA in Bucharest
The event with the tagline “I Walk the Line. We Walk the Spiral”, meant to mark the National Culture Day, through an artistic meeting between Bucharest and Chisinau, took place with the support of CREART of the Romanian Capital City Hall.
Traditionally, the InspirArt collective chose to support the cause of Hospices of Hope Moldova through this exhibition, by including in the program of the opening the silent auction for the work “Madonna”, signed by the visual artists Cristina Balan and Olesea Muntean.
Thus, during the opening, the work “Madonna” became the point of attraction of several art collectors, being sold for 4000 euros to Viorel Godea.
The painting will be permanently exhibited in the church edifice in Cornești village, Ungheni district, a soul project of the same businessman.
“The Hospices of Hope cause is very close to us and reflects the spirit of our community. InspirArt aims to bring hope to all who view our paintings. Likewise, Hospices of Hope, through its actions, sends a strong message of hope to its many beneficiaries. We have to understand that it is about real lives”, an artist mentioned Cristina Balan.
This donation is an important contribution to the efforts of Hospices of Hope Moldova to develop the Day Center for palliative care services in Chisinau, which will open its doors to its beneficiaries in 2023.
According to the representatives of the center, all funds are directed to the palliative care of adults and children with serious and life-limiting diseases, including refugees from Ukraine.
