Wages at the MÁV-Volán Group will increase significantly this year
Budapest – At the meeting of the MÁV-Volán Group’s conciliation council, the employers’ and the MÁV-Volán Group’s trade unions conclude that the provisions of the three-year wage agreement were fulfilled last year.
At the meeting, it was agreed that the minimum rate of the 10% wage increase in 2022 will be HUF 40,000 in order to avoid wage congestion due to the increase in the minimum wage.
In the case of VOLÁNBUSZ Zrt. – in addition to the 10% basic wage development – further detailed rules may be laid down in the coming weeks. In total, in 202 the group will spend about HUF 49 billion on raising wages and standardizing loyalty benefits.
As a result of the increase in wages and the management of wage congestion, nearly 43,000 of our employees will receive a wage increase of less than 10 percent, which is an increase in wage growth, which means a surplus of about HUF 12 billion. The necessary resources are provided by corporate savings resulting from the reduction of the employer’s contribution burden.
As a result of the wage agreement, the employees of the MÁV-Volán Group will be able to return home on average at least HUF 530 thousand more than in the previous year.
Collective bargaining unions consider the 2022 wage negotiation thus closed.
