Unrest in Kazakhstan on January 2 due to the return of gas prices. The authorities declined and were worth, however the requirements fell. On the morning of January 7, the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, announced that he had given an order “not to conceal fire on terrorists to kill without defeat.” On January 8th, this post was removed from Twitter. Deputy of the Security Council of Kazakhstan Azamat Abdymomunov was removed from office. According to media reports, it was reviewed by Nazarbayev. On suspicion of treason, Nazarbayev’s “right hand” is the former head of the National Security Committee (KNB), former Prime Minister of the country Karim Massimov.
According to the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan, as a result of the clashes, more than 160 people died, more than 2,000 people occurred. As of January 11, about 10 thousand people were detained, the damage from threats is estimated at $ 220 million.
On January 11, the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev announced that the withdrawal of the CSTO peace-loving contingent from the country would begin in two days and last a maximum of 10 days, as well as the Prime Minister of the country.
