In the service of literature: an exciting contemporary exhibition can be seen in Debrecen

Debrecen – An exhibition of the works of the illustrator of the year opened at the House of Literature in Debrecen. Grela Alexandra’s works were also written for poems and children’s tales.

The Elephant Trapper exhibition fills the institution’s three exhibition halls. One of the important goals of the House of Literature is to “create” readers for fiction, however, experts say the effect of the image is stronger than its text today.

The collection of Grela Alexandra, of Polish descent, has not yet been seen by the public. Among the pieces he has made several books for children, but there is also an illustration of a poem by Ady or Pilinszky. According to Deputy Mayor István Puskás, an exciting contemporary exhibition has arrived in Debrecen.

“This is a special, yet traditional exhibition, as Debrecen has many centuries-old traditions of book illustration, which, together with its 460-year book printing, has always been present in the city’s cultural life,” said Deputy Mayor István Puskás at the opening.
