The Sienese university residences are without washing machines. This is the complaint of some students who from 20 October unexpectedly found themselves unable to use the laundry service, given that the household appliances were taken from the supplier company. The reason, they let the Dsu, that is the regional company for the right to study, know, is the contract deadline, and therefore another company would have had to install the new washing machines. But the appliances, in addition to not being new, arrived in batches, and the latest deliveries were made only today. Furthermore, not all the sites have been fitted with washing machines, and many of them are evidently worn by time.

“The washing machines were delivered today but have not yet been installed and are in very bad condition – nut Manolo Zocco, a university student who is staying in one of the residences and who has become the spokesman for the protest – Alla Tognazza were put into operation for a very short time, because they immediately proved out of order. This discomfort was in no way reported by the DSU, which only today, through a notice on the bulletin board, apologized for the inconvenience by granting four more tokens for washing machines in November and December. But despite these the inconvenience with washing machines is not a recent story. “The laundry service has always been lacking – confides Zocco – the washing machines often broke down, when a fictitious moment was repaired, since the washing machine presented the same problems.
