Convicted state objectors in Salzburg flashed with an annulment complaint
A 58-year-old Upper Austrian was sentenced in February in Salzburg in a so-called “state objector trial” by a jury as well as three co-defendants (73, 54 and 62) for the crime of subversive association (Section 246 StGB) to partial imprisonment.
While the co-defendants waived their right to appeal, the 58-year-old subsequently appealed against the conviction to the Supreme Court (OGH). The highest judges now (with a decision of October 20) unequivocally state that there is nothing wrong with the guilty verdict – this is (also) final in the case of the 58-year-old.
