Russia will supply Afghanistan with a large shipment of humanitarian aid
In November, Russia will organize special flights in Afghanistan to deliver a large consignment of humanitarian cargo to the country, and on the way back I will be able to take Russian citizens to the country, Russian Ambassador to Afghanistan Dmitry Zhirnov said on the Russia-1 TV channel.
“Now we are preparing an organization here [в Афганистан] special flights on which a large consignment of humanitarian aid and food will be delivered. And with the same special flights in November we will take out Afghan citizens who have Russian citizenship, ”the diplomat said (quoted by TASS).
“There will be several planes – Afghan students will be delivered to Russia, who are enrolled in our universities under special quotas and internships. They just don’t have the money for tickets. But training must continue, ”Zhirnov added.
Afghanistan has been under Taliban rule since mid-August. Earlier, members of the group took under protection the outer perimeter of the Russian embassy in Kabul. The Kremlin has all the guarantees for the security of Russian diplomats.
On October 20, a Moscow format meeting on Afghanistan was held in Moscow. Representatives of ten countries and delegates from the Taliban took part in the consultations. This is the first visit of the Taliban to Russia since coming to power in August.
