Portugal accounts this Sunday 5 more deaths and 1023 new cases of covid-19, according to the daily report of the General Directorate of Health (DGS).
Since the beginning of the pandemic, Portugal has registered 18,203 deaths and 1,097,557 cases of infection by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, taking 33 686 active cases today, 647 more than yesterday.
The DGS bulletin reveals that they are admitted 341 patients, 18 more than yesterday.

Nationally, the incidence rate rose from 104.3 to 106.1 cases of infection per 100,000 inhabitants. In mainland Portugal, this indicator also increased from 104.4 to 105.6 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
The Rt – which estimates the number of secondary cases of infection for each person carrying the virus – it stands at 1.04 nationally and 1.03 in mainland Portugal.
