Pražačka: the complex will have new facilities and beach volleyball courts
“The new single-storey building, sunk into the slope on one side, replaces the existing office building and takes over its functions,” the approved document said. In the past, the town hall commissioned an architectural study of the alterations to the complex, on which the plan is based. They want to get money for the construction of the city district from external sources, according to previous information, it should be a subsidy from the National Sports Agency.
The modification will also include the expansion of rest areas for outdoor swimming pools and a new paddling pool. City council earlier this year as well selected the company OK Plan Architects, which is preparing a project for a new hall with four beach volleyball courts for about 1.8 million crowns. It should come first and, according to earlier information, it could start building next year.
The area at Pražačka is operated by SARAP, a company owned by Prague 3. It has indoor and outdoor pools, several playgrounds for various sports, an athletic oval, a gym or fitness room. According to studies commissioned by City Hall in 2016, The campus suffers from a number of problems.
