After evaluating the 5 factors most important for freelancers, Lithuania was ranked 8th in the world and overtook such countries as Sweden, Ireland, the USA and others.
In a new study, which can be found on Tide analysts in the UK business platforms, Lithuania is among the 8 most favorable countries in the world for freelancers.
Analysts examined 30 factors in 30 countries and scored between 0 and 10, which they say are the most important for wanting to be a freelancer. These include internet speed, cost of living, workers’ rights, happiness index, co-working space.
In first place in terms of the total number of points scored was Singapore, in second place – New Zealand, in third place – Spain.
The most unsuitable country for freelancers is Japan, and slightly better for freelancers in China and Italy.
On the other hand, if we look at how the workers themselves “vote”, the Netherlands would be in the first place – it is the most desirable country for those looking for freelance work, because the largest number of such pages here is 1,305 people per 100,000. True, Tide analytics ranked the Netherlands only 24th out of 30.
