The gendarmes of Gaillac find a driver lost in the middle of the night between Toulouse and Saint-Sulpice
It’s a story that ends well but could have had much more serious consequences due to a blackout.
It is a case that could have had a less happy ending without the concern of a family and the responsiveness of the gendarmes. It occurred during the night of Saturday 16 to Sunday 17 October, between Haute-Garonne and Tarn. A 79-year-old person from the Saint-Sulpice area had decided to take part in an evening near Toulouse. Apparently everything went well during this “themed meeting”, except that when he returned home, the septuagenarian had somewhat lost his way. And his family seeing daylight saving time, without him warning them to have gone home safely, began to worry.
Accompanied to his home at 4 a.m.
Especially since everyone could see that the last nights were starting to be very cool. The family therefore ended up calling the gendarmerie, not without warning the soldiers that the individual was looking for some memory weakness. The men of the Gendarmerie (Psig) surveillance and intervention squad in Gaillac went in search of the lost man. They ended up finding him around 4 a.m. on the side of a road. They obviously escorted this person home. She and her family were scared to death. They will always take more precaution when the septuagenarian will tick a new “theme party” on his agenda.
