According to him, Washington understands the definition of “international law” in a peculiar way and does not abandon an attempt at provocations near Russian borders. “This is unlikely to work with Russia,” he said.

Slutsky warned that the Russian Defense Ministry announced a gross violation of the warning of collision of ships at sea. He said that on Friday, October 15, the US military attaché in Moscow was summoned, who announced the legality of America’s actions.

Chafee’s attempt to cross the Russian border in the Sea of ​​Japan was reported earlier on October 15. It was noted that the US destroyer, operating in the Sea of ​​Japan for several days, approached the territorial waters of Russia.

Later, the US Air Force replied that the statement about the destroyer’s attempt to violate the border was not true. The command also added that troops will continue to “fly, sail and operate” where international law allows.
