In Lyon, real estate prices stabilize after a sharp rise
Lyon’s 5th largest up 12.9% year-on-year
In the City of Lights, inequalities are significant from one district to another, as is the evolution of real estate prices, which correspond at different rates from one district to another. The figures from the LPI-SeLoger Barometer point to continued strong growth, although slightly slowed down in the 2nd (Cordeliers, Bellecour) and 5th (Fourvière, Le Point du Jour) arrondissements. the price per square meter in the 2nd arrondissement of Lyon show an annual increase of 12.4%. It may be useful to point out that this shopping district, which houses pretty pedestrian streets like Place Bellecour (to name just one!), Offers a pleasant living environment and offers apartments with a lot of character. In the 5th district of Lyon, the historic center of the city par excellence that we also know as “Vieux Lyon”, it is, here again, the increase that prevails. Judge rather, the price per m² in the 5th arrondissement of Lyon increased by 12.9% over 1 year. On the other side of the spectrum, the real estate price in the 6th arrondissement of Lyon (Les Brotteaux, Cité Internationale) which was already down last August (-2.3% over 1 year) continuing its decline with – 3.1% in September. This does not prevent this real Lyon lung (also very chic!) From residing in one of the three districts in which property prices are the highest: 6,467 € / m².
