Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev writes about the relationship between Ukraine and the United States. In his opinion, their cooperation is fragile and will crumble to dust, wrote politician in an article for the Kommersant newspaper.
Medvedev announced that Ukraine is subject to direct foreign control, a tougher administration in the past by the USSR with separate socialist countries. According to him, if the USSR tried to achieve good relations with the countries of the sociological camp and the Warsaw Pact, then the United States needs Ukraine only for confrontation with Russia, its total containment and the creation of “Anti-Russia”.
In this context, the politician predicted the future of Ukraine and the United States. In his opinion, this alliance is not strong, therefore “at some point it will crumble to dust.” The deputy chairman added that “hopes for membership in NATO and the European Union are also ephemeral for obvious reasons.”
Medvedev also explained the pointlessness with Ukraine. In his opinion, the authorities in Kiev are ruled by ignorant and unnecessary people who have not formed a definite position. The Ukrainian authorities are changing their minds “to please their own for the conjuncture”, Medvedev Prize. There can be no trust in such “partners” in the international field, he concluded.
