The mix opens with ‘When a Fire Starts to Burn’ by the British duo Revelation, on Thursday at DGTL in the Shipbuilding shed. ‘Fire Drill’ by acidhouse legend DJ Pierre continue the danceable safety training. He will be at ADE no less than four sets will play – a record.
‘Minus/Orange (Mix 1)’ by Minimalmeister Richie Hawtin roll over it around 6:15. He plays on Thursday Waking up in the Ziggo Dome, and Sunday in Shelter for those who want to see it up close. The Sparkling ‘Poodle Power’ of Young Promise Avalon Emerson takes over the mix of zoom. She’s playing Thursday in Paradise and can be seen on Saturday at the Secret Project Festival.
The loud techno song swirling into the mix around 11:30 is ‘Truesoul’ by Adam Beyer, from 2002. (Unfortunately, the earwigs sound completely different with today’s hit parade.) He is organizing his own event on Thursday with Waking up in the Gashouder.
Then the indie trance of ‘Fandango’ by Kolsch – Friday on DGTL x IPSO in the Scheepsbouwloods, Sunday on Circoloco x Loveland in Thuishaven – the mix inside. Fits perfectly with the immortal ‘Space Invaders Are Smoking Grass’ from the Haregen IF, who will treat you to his very best records on Friday in Noorderlicht for the tenth anniversary of Bordello a Parigic.
He is banged out of the way around 7:45 pm by techno veteran’s ‘Protective Custody’ Dave Clarke, that Friday with some self-chosen colleagues the Milky Way will make it unsafe. the unsurpassed Jeff Mills – Saturday just like Avalon Emerson on the Secret Project Festival, Friday on 909 x Loveland – adds another scoop to the tumbling beats of ‘Tango’.
Also the Dutchman Fast J Plays on 909 x Loveland (on Sunday on Awaken X Exhale), but if the breakbeats of his ‘Balk Acid’ appeal to you, you should definitely see him at work on Saturday, when he plays during ‘DISTURB‘ will make live music with some colleagues. also Surgeon – Friday already up In the woods – from whom you hear ‘Black Jackal Throwbacks’ around 24:00 will there to be.
Around 26:00 ‘Screen’ bus is bubbling Planetary Attack Systems upwards. That’s the techno alias of Luke Slater, with him on Saturday Audio Obscura can be seen in the RAW Factory. On Thursday he also plays in the Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ as ‘The 7th Plain’, an ambient project that will be accompanied by dancers for the occasion, and on Friday he will play on a benefit in Radion.
Next, ‘Zombie Machine (Acid)’ by a mysterious nature named Closed Circle the mix inside. He plays on Saturday In the woods. The wanton ‘Push’ of Ellen Allien – can be seen on Saturday at Waking up in the Ziggo Dome – giggles and pushes him out of the way around 30:00.
Allien is followed by some other compositions by young female DJ producers. First you hear ‘All I Need’ by Jayda G, Saturday on DGTL. Then it’s the turn Eris Drew and Octo Octa, a DJ couple who will rock Radion together for six hours on Saturday for breakfast club. From Drew you can hear ‘Reactiv-8’, followed around 34:45 by the crazy drums of ‘Ecstatic Beat’ by Octo Octa.
We conclude with two classics: ‘They Were’ by Carl Craig, Saturday guest at Circoloco x Loveland, and the kale, intoxicating ‘Stereo Systems’ from Levon Vincent, sunday in Home port.
