Amsterdam chooses eleven partners for financial advisory services
The Municipality of Amsterdam has a European tender of eleven consultancy firms and preferred suppliers for financial advisory services. With the framework contract, the total is €26 million involved.
Amsterdam’s financial department ensures that the municipality’s income and expenditure (growth in 2022: € 6.5 billion) is properly managed.
For specialist and project-related issues, or to meet peak demand, the municipality uses a shell of external experts. This hiring of external parties is organized through a framework agreement.
With the progress of the previous framework agreement, the purchasing department of the municipality of Amsterdam issued a new tender at the end of last year, divided over three lots. The winning parties (consisting of eleven agencies) will tomorrow call themselves the exclusive financial consultancy partner of our capital for the first two to four years.
An overview of the offices per lot:
Lot 1 has the scope of advisory services for the financial function. Think of services aimed at transforming the financial function, improving processes, and optimizing the planning & control cycle. Budget of this plot: € 5 million.
For lot 1 are: Deloitte and Derksen & Drolsbach; BMC Advice and Hunting; Profource, JE Consultancy and Vanberkel Professionals; improve; en USG Professionals.
Lot 2 focuses on strategic financial advisory services, such as developing financial policies or holding strategic positions in a project environment. The provision of experienced business controllers also falls within the scope of the lot, which is good for almost € 20 million.
In front of this plot are located: Deloitte and Derksen & Drolsbach; BMC Advice and Hunting; Profource, JE Consultancy and Vanberkel Professionals; improve; en Eiffel.
The third lot relates to the temporary termination of managerial positions within the finance function. Initially, it is not about result-oriented services (consultancy) but about interim services. The municipality expects to spend approximately €1 million on interim rent.
For lot 3 are: Deloitte and Derksen & Drolsbach, BMC Advies en Yacht, Profource, JE Consultancy and Van Berkel Professionals, Improven, and DPA Groep.
The framework agreements have a term of two years and can be extended by a maximum of two times one year.
