USA and Russia do not want to see Iran among nuclear powers
Despite a number of deep divisions, the United States, the Russian Federation and the Russian Federation are reluctant to allow nuclear weapons to end up in storage. In this regard, Russia is taking an active part in the renewal of the nuclear deal between the United States and Iran in Vienna on the renewal of the “nuclear deal”. State Department spokesman Ned Price announced this on Thursday.
According to Price, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken spoke with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Wednesday, focusing on the mutual return of Iran and the United States to adherence to a joint comprehensive plan of action (nuclear deal).
Noting that the United States “has a number of deep differences with the Russian Federation,” however, there are some areas of the United States of America, and the renewal of the “nuclear deal” is one such area.
“We agree with the Russian Federation that Iran should not be able to acquire nuclear weapons. That is why we are negotiating with the Russians … on the early resumption of negotiations in Vienna, – Price noted, – The Russians … expressed similar considerations. This is one of those issues where our interests really intersect. “
As Price added, the United States, the Russian Federation and other P5 + 1 partners believe that “the JCPOA continues to provide the best effective basis for pursuing our common interests. The United States, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the European Union, Russia and China are committed to preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. ”
